The RODEO

WE had a very fun weekend! mike and I were able to celebrate our Anniversary Friday and Saturday in Logan while Kathy and Alex watched the kids.

But I did want to share the fun time we had with our friends the Cranes at the bluffdale Rodeo. Kade is officially A COWBOY!!

My baby road his first Sheep Saturday night and he did awesome. I have to warn you that it was mikes job to check the camera's before we left and he didn't check the video camera... so the shot is grainy but this is really Kayden and he did AWESOME!! all the kids recieved trophys and he has cherished his.

Kade and buddy Payton and they did so great they were both so brave, I am so proud of them both.

Me and the kids also were able to drive to washington and visit my family. My sister Kjarsta's reception was there and it was beautiful. We spent every chance we could at the beach, because while we were there washington hit its all time HIGH at 106 degrees... which they are not equiped to handle- no one has air conditioning.

I BLAME Kjarsta for this picture, it was so cute. lined up was Jonny, grandpa and kristian all doing pushups (grandpa won) Kade went to go join.

kade had so much fun at the "beach" he is always asking if we can go now. he loved the boat and wasn't affraid to go tubing. I was impressed.

. WE did this really fun adventure one day. we went to Jetty Island, we rode a farrie over and then it was this great beach for about two miles. sandy and the best part it didn't get deep for miles. waiting for the ferrie
while we were there the tide went out, thats when Hailey really found her Nitch.

The end of our trip, saying good bye, we were fortunate to have both set of grandparents there. here is Grandma and Grandpa Salmon with the great grands that were there, we missed pepper and ty and the twins.

A good Summer

Kade discovered the FUN of "fixing" his bike. this lasted him hours.

We went to california in June for my sisters wedding, we brought our dog for one last hurrah. the couple that was buying him lived it california. I sure miss him but wanted what was best for him.

we did some camping which was fun. hailey was not a fan of the ocean. she is wil Grandma Salmon.

we started off to a rough start but we sure have been having fun. my most favorite thing is kayden and hailey are friends now. ... for the most part.

Most people do a monthly update but I want to do an update for the last week or so.

It began at play group, lots of kids, and moms out on a nice sunnyday. I'm thinking it is nice to visit with people in my neighborhood and catch up. suddenly i hear "Emily Kinghorn you kids peaing down the slide"... sure enough kade was over on top of the jungle gym and just pulling up his pant. lots of kids standing and watching. luckly some moms helped me keep kids of the slide until I had wiped it down with lots of wipes from someones diaper bag. he had his train set taken away for a whole day.
the next day to share was friday, I had just finished vaccuming and it was "Kades turn" hailey had just dumped some fishy crackers out and he wanted to clean it up. as a disclamer kade is really good a vaccuming. but this particular time Haileys had got stuck, or pinned under the vaccum, and the brushes went to town on the top of her hand. It only took seconds.... hailey got a pretty good chunk of skin taken off the top of her hand. since it was so big i had to wrap it, to keep her from polling off the bandage. it has taken a long time to heal. but we are almost better.
the following wednesday I had a dr. apt. for my ears- I am hard of hearing. kade and hailey went with a friend to Playgroup. I was still filling out paper work when I receive a call about kade, he had fallen on the curbing by the swing set and split his chin open. I was at the same building for the pediatriction, so friends brought him and 6 stitches later we are all back home. Dad promised Kade an extentions set to his train if he held still while the doctor stitched him up.
I think we are done for a while. we really do have great kids. I feel so blessed to have them in my life. I love being a mother ... even when kayden goes a pees on the side walk in front of our house and tells me that that is was dogs do.
we are still looking for a special home for percy so it anyone know of one let us know thank you I have picture so these too. soon to follow.
